Goal 5: Finance

The district will promote fiscal responsibility and diligence by providing financial transparency and accountability and incorporating stakeholder involvement. It is our desire to make equitable investments to enhance organizational culture and improve operational sustainability. Our financial vision includes building collaborative relationships and partnerships within our community to secure funding and resources for programs and initiatives.

Objective 1

Ensure financial stability and fortify effective stakeholder communication.

  • Strategy 1- Maintain District balanced budget.

  • Strategy 2 - Increase the fund balance reserve goal by 10% before 2030.

  • Strategy 3 - Provide consistent financial communications to stakeholders.

Objective 2

Objective 2 - Identify and provide equitable opportunities for capital planning and development.

  • Strategy 1 - Engage a Grant Writer to pursue competitive grants in the areas of education, facilities, and staffing.

  • Strategy 2 - Create and communicate a plan to engage the community in the development of plans for an April 2025 building referendum.

  • Strategy 3- Develop and communicate a 5-yr Capital Improvement Plan to all D102 Stakeholders.

  • Strategy 4 - Work with Community Stakeholders / District Foundation to create revenue opportunities.
