Goal 3: Investment in Staff

The district will recruit, hire, develop, and retain a highly qualified diverse staff in a learning environment where they can utilize their talents to support students’ academic success within a culture of belonging by valuing their own and others' history, experience, and culture.

Objective 1

Improve and maintain a positive, collaborative working environment that fosters belonging, trust, and respect.

  • Strategy 1 - Invest in the development of a Professional Learning Community (PLC) process.

  • Strategy 2 - Create and implement staff celebrations, recognition and community-strengthening opportunities  at the building, district, and community levels.

  • Strategy 3 - Reinforce district values and behaviors that support an equitable culture and a community of belonging in all our buildings.

  • Strategy 4 - Expand systematic recruiting methods, diversify sources and hire and retain highly qualified diverse talent.

Objective 2 - Provide competitive compensation for all employee groups.

  • Strategy 1 - Use regionally competitive data to guide successful negotiations with all bargaining units.

  • Strategy 2 - Research and revise non-union compensation based on regionally competitive norms.
