This is official notification of a breach involving a La Grange 102 data.
On October 16, 2023, the District was notified that some of its data was involved in a cybersecurity incident. One the District’s vendors worked with a law firm that used a third-party software provider called Progress Software, which discovered a cybersecurity issue involving its MOVEit Transfer product. MOVEit is a file transfer tool used by many organizations around the world to support the transfer of data files. The law firm found that, an unauthorized third party obtained certain of its files that were transferred through the MOVEit tool. The incident occurred between approximately May 27, 2023, and May 31, 2023 and it affected current and/or former students.
The notification states that the data involved did NOT include: social security numbers, credit card numbers, or bank account numbers.
Families who were directly impacted by the breach will receive a personalized communication with important information about the breach, including free resources that will be made available to affected families for protecting personal information.
