Reminders

  • Restaurant deliveries and fast food are prohibited.

  • All lunch bags, boxes, containers, and water bottles should be clearly marked with student's name and room number.

  • Please send your child with all necessary utensils, napkins, and straws.

  • If your child forgets their lunch, we will call home to see if a parent can drop one off.

Milk & District Lunch

  • District Sack Lunch Menu

  • Milk cards are given to each student and are turned in on a daily basis.

  • District lunches ($3.80) and milk ($0.55) are charged through PushCoin.

  • If your child needs a sack lunch, please contact the Cossitt main office by 9:00 am that morning:

Recess

Students will go out for recess as long as the weather is above 10 degrees (Real Feel) and conditions are safe. Please be sure to send your child with appropriate winter gear. Students will not be allowed to play on the snow without snow pants and boots.

Open Campus

If your child is leaving school during lunch hours, they must be signed out in PowerSchool AND checked out in the main office. Please note:

  • Students will only be released to parents or guardians identified in PowerSchool for school pick-up. 

  • Students will exit the school from the main office (door #1 on Madison) upon being signed out by a parent / guardian.

  • When students return from lunch, they must line up on the blacktop and enter at the bell.

It is required that an adult be present when a child leaves the building for any reason, including during lunch. We must ensure that all students are under adult supervision from the beginning of the school day until the bell at the end of the day. Please see D102 safety announcement for more details.

Marla's Lunch

The Cossitt PTC has organized Marla's Lunch, a program that offers lunch delivered from local restaurants.
