Congress Park Dolphin Newsletter

2.21.25

Dear Congress Park Community,

We hope you’re having a wonderful week! There are so many exciting things happening at our school, and we appreciate your continued support. Tonight is Cultural Night, and we can’t wait to celebrate the diversity of our school community with you! Join us for an evening filled with food, music, and activities that showcase cultures from around the world. We hope to see you there!

Curriculum Corner: We are excited to share that our fourth grade Spanish Dual class recently participated in a fun and engaging "Book Tasting" event! This special activity allowed students to explore a variety of Spanish books from different genres in a relaxed, café-like atmosphere. Each student "sampled" a selection of books, giving them a chance to discover new stories, characters, and writing styles.

Throughout the event, students rotated between different "tables" where they enjoyed a brief introduction to each book, much like a tasting menu at a restaurant. They also enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate and a mini donut as they delved into each book.

We believe that this has inspired many of our students to dive into books they might not have considered before, fostering a love for reading books in Spanish that we hope will last throughout the year.

Thank you for your continued support in encouraging your child’s reading journey!

Kind regards,

Amy Grieve

Congress Park Principal
